reheat
Hi,got this for Christmas and was wondering is there any pics that someone could point me to that shows a MkII with MkI wheels as per the kit .The colour schemes provided require the MkII wheels. I can only find one image 'Rosemary' , but i find it rather boring compared to the kit markings. Can anyone help?
JackG
This has been discussed elsewhere before, and the kit has been criticized for it's wheels as the decal options are all for MK.II with the later type road wheels. Other than Rosemary, I haven't seen anyone come up with any other photo proof. regards, Jack
reheat
Would it be difficult to backdate to a MkI then? My kit has been supplied with a MkI gun barrel. Nick
JackG
You should check out Vally G 's wip thread on Valentines that he was working on, he knows his stuff, maybe even pm him. I have the same kit, and when I get around to it, will likely opt to purchase the proper later wheels from Accurate Armour. http://www.accurate-armour.com/ShowProduct.cfm?category=4&subcategory=192&product=1712&manufacturer=0 I'm not sure what sort of work encompasses the back dating to the Mark I. Wiki states this first mark was never sent out to any of the combat theaters, due to engine troubles. So, if you are alright with portraying a tank on the home front, then I suppose that is another option. regards, Jack
