Val_Ukraine
And this is my second post for today presenting my penultimate work for 2014. A nice little kit from Hobby Boss. It's quite simplified and misses some items. So I've had to add some things in the cockpit, Venturi tube, inner undercarriage doors and the oil radiator carburetor air intake under the engine cowling, as well as antenna. Also, I've tried to open the wheel bays, which were completely closed in the kit but not on the prototype and fill them with wiring and tubing . Not the best of my attempts... Happy New Year, guys and girls! Edited January 1, 2015 by Val_Ukraine

Trenton guy
Great job, I have been working on the same additions to the Hobby Boss kit. I would have forgotten the the inner wheel well doors so thanks for the assist. Spectacular job on the wheel wells, especially considering the scale.
Mitch K
Fantastic bit of work! Looks vastly better than my Revell effort. Yours has asymmetric wings! How does the kit go together?
dogsbody
Lovely job. A point of interest. The under-cowling intake is for the carburator air. The oil cooler is the metallic ring around the front of the cowling. Chris

Val_Ukraine
Thank you all friends! Lovely job.A point of interest. The under-cowling intake is for the carburator air. The oil cooler is the metallic ring around the front of the cowling.Chris Yes, Chris, it is really the carburetor air intake! A bit of champagne was the reason of my mistake Fantastic bit of work! Looks vastly better than my Revell effort. Yours has asymmetric wings! How does the kit go together? The kit went together very well. I did not used the filler at all. But the wings are not as asymmetric as they have to be in this scale: approx 2,7 mm. In the kit the difference in the length of the wings is about 1 mm. I did not took my chance to correct this. In general this kit is much better that the venerable Revell's one but does misses a lot of details. Happy New Modelling Year!

Spitfire31
Impressive model of an important, although underarmed and underpowered, combattente! Your work and dedication really paid off. Kind regards, Joachim

The killer on the wings, as I'm sure you know, is that it isn't just a case of bodging an extra bit into the wing: not only is the span unequal, but the wing shape is non-symmetrical (the chord varies, and the ailerons are markedly different). Lovely build, all the same, and only people who are Macchi bores and know about the weird wings would even know where to look!
