BerndM Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Good news, like their MiG-23 fighters very much
Bonehammer Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) Uh oh... anyone wants a started Kazan conversion set? And why does this always seem to happen just after I manage to get one? Edited December 31, 2014 by Bonehammer
BerndM Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Uh oh... anyone wants a started Kazan conversion set? And why does this always seem to happen just after I manage to get one? Murphys law ?!?
Col. Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Uh oh... anyone wants a started Kazan conversion set? And why does this always seem to happen just after I manage to get one? So tempted to say yes but I'd wait until we see just what the Trumpeter kit looks like before moving this one on Bone.
Bonehammer Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 So tempted to say yes but I'd wait until we see just what the Trumpeter kit looks like before moving this one on Bone. Well even if the Trumpeter turns out to be less accurate, it'll hardly require more work to go together... 'nuff said.
Homebee Posted June 29, 2015 Author Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) First from the family, the MiG-23BN "Flogger-H" - ref.05801 - is announced for late August 2015. So should be available in the best hobbyshops in September-October. Source: http://www.trumpeter-china.com/index.php?g=home&m=article&a=show&id=50&l=en V.P. Edited August 1, 2015 by Homebee 1
exdraken Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) very welcome! hope they do not take too many "short cuts" these should be correct for Indian, Czechoslovakian and DDR/ GDR aircraft, no? Edited June 29, 2015 by exdraken
Bonehammer Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 these should be correct for Indian, Czechoslovakian and DDR/ GDR aircraft, no? Not to mention Bulgarian, Egyptian, Ethiopian, and Iraqi. India also produced and operated the Flogger-J or a similar version under the name 'Bahadur', so if you want an all-grey duckbill... Myself, I always preferred green and brown: perhaps with a touch of sand... 1
gregair Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Yeah I would be in for an Ethiopian one too, whoo hoo

India also produced and operated the Flogger-J or a similar version under the name 'Bahadur', so if you want an all-grey duckbill... Myself, I always preferred green and brown: Indians can be build in a multitude of color schemes! the Bahadur was a MiG-27, though, not? (simplified non movable intakes, fixed outer exhaust petals) and supposedly a different nose as well (depending on exact variant!)
Bonehammer Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 the Bahadur was a MiG-27, though, not? (simplified non movable intakes, fixed outer exhaust petals) and supposedly a different nose as well (depending on exact variant!) Yes, a late Mig-27 with the wing glove reaching forward nearly all the way to the intakes. Don't know what avionics it had, though.

Laurent Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 (edited) The nose profile looks weird too me. Too long and/or too deep, curved on top, too "heavy". And the BN has nozzle petals... right... Edited September 6, 2015 by Laurent
nubrawarriors Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 MiG23BN-a by Phil Camp, on Flickr that should answer your questions. Nose drawing appears to need flattening a bit. Cannot comment on kit Regards Phil
Muzz Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 What nation is the colour scheme F? Thought it was maybe Armenian or Georgian but can't pin it down. Muzz
Laurent Posted September 6, 2015 Posted September 6, 2015 What nation is the colour scheme F? Thought it was maybe Armenian or Georgian but can't pin it down. They screwed up the colors in the paint directions. Ethiopian.
ABeck Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 The base line of the movable canopy is (almost) in parallel to the fuselage datum line while the base line of the fixed forward canopy/windscreen "kinks" down to the front. As far as I can see from the kit both base lines are in one level downwards. This will become a hard correction job - if possible at least.
