claudius
The model sucks, I know. I couldn't do any better with that old 1/48 Airfix kit. But, man, I do love the Hawker Fury. I find it really elegant. You can see in those lines what will have become the Hurricane. This one is actually a Hawker Spanish Fury as it was dubbed. Part of a small lot built for Spain that took part in the Civil War in the Republican side. Landing gear in the Spanish ones was slightly different from the British versions. I used a old spare part belonging to a Gladiator.... Edited May 6, 2015 by claudius

jean
I don't know what more could have been done, even with a more recent model! This is just a beautiful work. Congrats JR

JOAN
Fantastic work and fantastic airplane ! IIRC the modifications seems important to match the real one. A real subject ( mr Airfix ? ) for a new mold. olivier

SoftScience
Model sucks? Not by the looks of things! What did you have to add/change to get it looking this sharp?
stevehnz
Nice job on this Claudius, imho, the Spanish & Yugoslav Furies with the Gladiator style Dowty U/C legs were the best looking of the lot & yours has done this proud. Steve.
Martian
Lovely model but clearly you need to go to Spec Savers as the Blackburn Blackburn is obviously the best looking biplane ever! Martin
claudius
Model sucks? Not by the looks of things! What did you have to add/change to get it looking this sharp? It was OOB, just replaced the landing gear with a Gladiator's.
Kampartiger
Fully agree with you....yes to me it was the most beautiful airplane during those golden years in comparism to the many blunties (radials) that were sharing the sky with it.A very pleasing looking Spanish Fury.....I like it very much! woody37
Agree , a lovely aeroplane, great scheme and cracking build to boot. Weathering adds to the finish
Darby
Very colourful and a nice change. Not so sure about being the best looking though. The Blackburn Blackburn has looks to die for (but only if viewed in a fairground mirror)

Mitch K
Lovely work - and I tend to agree with you. They might have built faster, better armed biplanes, but they didn't make them any prettier!
