Re your comment on the dark blue of the markings against the dark blue of the scheme, I have long believed that this is OK as the three (4?) colour finished planes did not have their markings matching their upper works blue, ie Insignia Blue versus Glossy Sea Blue. When the overall GSB finish came in, then marking went to only having the white bits painted, ie white star & bars, the GSB back gound sufficing for the blue component. Steve. But I still think that "this blue is not that blue" . This of course this is so tiny issue that it doesn't really matter at least for me.
