brewerjerry
Hi Just won a gloster F9/37 and a gloster F5/34 on e bay, luckily for me seems people are to busy to bid, got them at just over $30 each Or maybe I just have wierd tastes, a bit like my g/f's :) ? I have never built a planet kit before, always to expensive. any suggestions on what they are like and any thing to watch out for when building them ? Googling a couple of website say two F5/34 's were built anyone know the second serial ? And used to 1941, anyone know the camo scheme or seen a photo ? Cheers Jerry Edited December 20, 2014 by brewerjerry
sloegin57
Build of the F5/34 here Jerry:- http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234933844-twp-magna-prototypes-in-72nd-scale/ K8089 was the second one. If you go to some of the Flight sim sites, (Flightsim.com etc) it appears that you are not the only one to like it - Google "Gloster F5/34" - great for whatiffers - nice RCAF one. chris57
There was also two F9/37's, one with Peregrine engines and the other with Taurus. they're serials were L7999 and L8002. chris
Navy Bird
I built the Planet XF10F Jaguar, and here is the WIP: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234938495-172-grumman-xf10f-1-jaguar-finished/ It went together quite well. I'd buy more from them. My understanding is that Planet is just a trade name for CMK. Now, when will we see these Gloster goodies? gingerbob
Darn it Bill, having just read through your build thread, I'm much more interested in the 1/48 one that someone's trying to convince me to buy than I was- what a beautiful job you did! bob
