1/48 - AMX (A-11A/T/A-11B) Ghibli/Falcão by Hobby Boss - A-11A, A-1A, AMX-T & A-1B released

If the markings directions are based on the CAD model, some things look a little strange:

- windscreen doesn't seem to "go in the nose enough" (ref: http://data3.primeportal.net/hangar/luc_colin3/amx_ami/images/amx_ami_63_of_67.jpg)

- a little too much nose-up attitude

And what's a "A-11A Ghibli" anyway ?

Looks like another WTFed kit.

?

It's the official name for the aircraft in AM service, as of 2011. The original aircraft are designated A-11A (or TA-11A for the two seaters); upgraded aircraft are A-11B.

Interesting!

never heard of that either!

also the Eurofighter is called F-2000A "Typhoon", and the Tornado IDS A-200A Tornado!

Supernice!

Gotta love all these cool new subjects these days, no matter at all if they are not 100% correct.

These designations are only used in internal documentation and whatever documentation may be related to operations (flight plans for example) or administration, they may be official but are not used outside of these boundaries. The designations were applied to adapt to a NATO request for interoperability

I have the single seater for review and it looks good in the box. The kit intakes are more rounded that the real thing, but you could open them up a bit if you wanted.

No idea of a comparison with the kinetic kit though.
