gingerbob
Whoopee, a 109G in 1/48- just what I've been waiting for! Hope the Tunnan is approximately accurate, and I'd better get my Lansen on eBay quick. bob
Decoman
Hmm, I'd like the Ka-27 Helix kit! An ugly, yet charming heli.
Tiger331
More proof of excellent collaboration between kit manufacturers.......AMX, Tunnan etc and do we really need another ME Bf-109 ?. If the U-2R is accurate then I will be happy but otherwise not a particularly inspiring bunch of new releases. Fiat G-91, Hawker Hunter, Blenheim, Beaufighter, Gannet, A-1E Skyraider, Scimitar, Buccaneer.....etc etc etc....I could go on
Norman
Blimey !!! I really don't think they give a damn about anything other than crushing opposition and becoming a huge force in plastic kits, and those amongst us may not approve of some of their kits with accuracy issues etc but they are bludgeoning their way in it seems to me, and they are deliberately targeting some manufacturers with this list , Whilst we ( me included) prattle on about fit and shape issues they just keep banging out kits almost non stop !!! i wonder what Airfix think? , constant complaining on forums doesn't seem to have slowed sales to a rate that affects them , but this is the new China , will it slow , stop or keep charging ahead ??????, and this is some list !!!, IF it all appears next year, The future may be very interesting indeed All i can say is BLIMEY !!! Wez
The AMX, Lansen and Tunnan would be of interest to me but only if they're accurate. Tiger331 remember, anyone else's AMX or Bf-109 don't make money for Hobby Boss What are they doing in 1/72nd? Tiger331 remember, anyone else's AMX or Bf-109 don't make money for Hobby Boss What are they doing in 1/72nd? Wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment about Hobby Boss being a business so why produce 'duplicates' of kits with arguably limited appeal when there are still so any potential money spinners out there, such as the A-1E Skyraider, Blenheim, Fiat G-91, Buccaneer etc that I would suggest would sell in more quantities than some of the more esoteric duplicates that they are proposing....
tank152
Like what has been said other companies 109 kits etc don't make money for Hobbyboss. I was hoping they'd carry on kitting the Me262 series, an Me262A-2a/U1 would have been much appreciated.

SleeperService
After some of the attempts they've made I will not be getting my hopes up. Once the plastic gets into the hands of those who give an honest opinion then I MAY get some of them. I'll still be getting a Tarangus Lansen though! Homebee
Most of the items quoted NEW in the P.18, 19, 20 & 21 - like the Sukhoi/Shenyang and F4U Corsair - were already noted in the 2014-2015 programme http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234953185-20142015-trumpeter-hobby-boss-and-mrcmerit-catalogues/?p=1510547 Waiting now the 1/48th Trumpeter 2015-2016 catalogue/programme... Jon Kunac-Tabinor
OH God, Hobby Boss continue their James-Bond-villian-like attempts to stuff up interesting release subjects. I should be really excited by subjects like the Tunnan & Lansen, and the AMX: But all I'm filled with is a depressing dread of just how potentially goddamn awful these models will be Jonners

I should be really excited by subjects like the Tunnan & Lansen, and the AMX: But all I'm filled with is a depressing dread of just how potentially goddamn awful these models will be Jonners I'm with you on this Jonners, as I've said, I'm interested in the AMX, Tunnan and Lansen - but ONLY if they're accurate. Whilst I understand Tiger331's frustration that they're not tackling subjects like the Buccaneer I can't help but be grateful 'cos I dread they'll stuff it up. Giorgio N
While I understand that evey modeller would love to see his/her fafourite subjects over the others, I'm not sure if the subjects covered in this year catalogue are really minor or exotic... The Saab 29 was produced in over 600 units, not really what I'd call a limited production and much larger than many of the types often mentioned as important. It also had its share of action in Congo. The AMX may be relatively little known, but has seen plenty of action over Kosovo, Afghanistan and Lybia. It's a type that has dropped more bombs in action than many better known types The Lansen never saw any action but was still produced in over 400 units and has served for 40 years in Sweden Now compare the above with the career of types like the Scimitar or even the Sea VIxen and it seems to me that HB has announced some types much more important overall than two of most Britmodellers favourites Granted, this is a British forum and British types are loved here, but HB's market is all over the world, Swedish or Italian subjects will sure have success in their own countries and elsewhere. At the same time the presence of well known classics that are guaranteed to sell will sure make money for them. Now of course there's the matter of how accurately will these subjects be reproduced...
