All weathered up now. A simple oil wash for the panel lines and more oils for the underside and gun staining, with the exhausts sprayed from a black/brown mix. Probably a bit on the heavy side, the gun stains especially, so might try and tone them down a bit...

Really smart build, I love the clean nature of how you build your models.

I'm curious, what airbrush do you use, and does the staining on the underside come from airbrushing or some other method?

Thanks very much :)

I use an Iwata HP-CH with a 0.3mm tip for all my airbrushing. The underside staining was done by brushing the same wash used for the panel lines on in streaks and tidied up with a clean brush dampended in thinners.

Man,I'm going to have to do the wet blob of Milliput trick when I

build mine.

Way too much panel line on a Spit for me.

Those are the old kit's decals or are they aftermarket?

Yeah, they're pretty heavy, the only question mark on an otherwise lovely kit.

Stencils and upper roundels are from the kit, the rest aree from an Xtradecal sheet. I would have used the Xtradecal roundels too but they're more fragile than I'd have expected and tore on the raised surface detail when positioning them...

Beautiful painting and weathering. It's all looking rather good!
