Nope. I have to log in to view.

I don't have to log in to see the pictures on their page, sure FB hassles you to log in but you don't need to. The only thing you can't view is the comments.

Excellent choice of marking alternatives, cannot wait to get mine!

Covers the three marking schemes used:

-Early unpainted, UN (white F)

-Later Camouflaged, UN (white E)

-Latest, replacement a/c, unpainted w/ green fin, wingtips and white ring on nose, ONU (white C)

White E is the a/c covered best with respect to camouflage pattern, well known vertical down photo on a/c. Several others from both sides have been published in various books

White F can also be painted in camouflage, at least one b/w pic showing most of upper camouflage

White C can be made into white G or J, E/F into I, E and C into D, etc

Hopefully the decals are from Cartograph (as per PR practice) and researched/designed by Robert at Moose decals.

If you don't have it already, try to get the book FREDSFLYGARNA by Leif Hellström (ISBN 9172430060) and The Aviation Historian, Issue 13!

New info:

-The decal sheet doesn't say so, but it looks exactly like Cartograph. Same sharpness, opaque colors, and excellent register.

-Two sets of stenciling, one "clean" and one with silver surround, for the camouflaged a/c.

-Designed by Moose Republic, aka Robert B

Just perfect!

Recreate one of the most important and interesting eras of the Swedish Air Force, SAAB J29 B in Congo. Finally we have in stock our long awaited and nice J 29B in the 1/48 scale. As usual, we have selected 3 interesting individuals from the conflict in Congo, where the Swedish J29 flying barrels with the Swedish Air Force pilots & ground crew did very good service under the harsh conditions.

Order now, www.pilot-replicas.com

While you wait for delivery, you can enjoy the pictures of the models that one of our pro builders Per-Erik Hedberg has built.

Right now we are preparing everything and are ready to start delivering on August 16th.

Can only confirm that the kit is just great! I'm very happy with the slight changes on the rear fuselage, capturing the engine and exhaust areas perfectly!

If I understand it correctly, the J29C/"S29C" recce version is in preparation, either as a full kit or conversion. Should be interesting either way as almost all (72 out of 76) were refitted with the later E wing with dog tooth (as in the F kit). Both S29C in Congo had the later wing.

From what I have heard, the S 29C will follow. However, I guess noone knows when. An Austrian recce version is also planned, at least it was when I spoke to them a few years ago.

The decals are designed by Robert Bergwall (Moose Republic Decals) and printed by BOA.

I built the two pre-production models seen on the pictures so I have tested the decals. They are thin and conform well to panel lines and rivets. The white UN markings worked great and responded well to micro set and sol.

I've just ordered one direct, hopefully the extra they'll make on it will get the Sk105 finished ;)

.

As far as I know, the final work on the Saab 105/SK 60 kit is being made almost as we speak. So it is not far away now.

Hello, It's been a long time since I published anything new. This does not mean that we are on the lazy side, it is actually the opposite. We are just releasing a small cool set with tow bar to Tunnan in 1/48. The parts are finely cast in resin and mounted on a turned brass rod that is included. The tow bar can either be mounted on the front landing gear or shown separately, both variants are included.

(...)

You can find the tow bar on our website https://www.pilot-replicas.com/collections/aircraft-accessories/products/48r013-1-48-scale-tow-bar-for-j29 and it is called 48R013, or you can ask for it at one of our dealers.

Have a Nice Hobby Weekend!

A S29 recce Tunnan conversion set is reported in progress.

(...) Some might, like me, have been hoping for a S 29 Tunnan (the reconnaissance version) and unfortunately this is not something that's planned from Pilot Replicas. But something that Claes (Editor's note: Claes Wahlund from Pllot Replicas) has in the works is a conversion kit for his J 29. He could show me a 3D print of the parts that are in the works, These are not the finished product but just a test of the drawings. It certainly looks like we can look forward to building the S 29 out of the Pilot Replicas kit after all.
