Homebee
Hobby Boss is to release in 2015-2016 a new tool 1/48th MiG-31 "Foxhound" kit: MiG-31 - ref.81753 and Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-31B/BM - ref.81754. Bad news for the AMK project (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234946328-mig-31bm-avantgarde-model-148/?hl=foxhound#entry1401014). Radleigh
Nice one, but I'm trying not to build any 48th stuff...
SeaVenom
I'm not a fan of the Mig 31 but obviously it'll go down well with some. Why can't some company do a new tool 'accurate' Foxbat though?
Breaker
I'll be picking one up, rather than the KH -25!
general melchett
Well if HB manage to do a decent job on the thing I'll be getting at least one and maybe one more to convert to a MiG-31M....it's a big 'if' though !
SaintsPhil
Haven't another company, Chinese I think, also announced a Mig-31, I wonder if HB have bought their CAD or tooling or if this is a seperate project....
Breaker
I'll wait for you to finish it then GM, same as the TSR2, Revell Tornado etc etc

AMK and Hobby Boss MiG-31 projects are supposed to be different or should be. As far as I know an important member/designer from the AMK team/staff left the company last year. Has he joined the Hobby Boss team with elements from the MiG-31 project? I don't know. V.P. Edited December 12, 2014 by Homebee
andym
Lets just hope it's accurate and not like the KittyHawk Foxbat which was a huge disappointment. Andy
smuts
With a bit of luck the A team will be working on this!.......but it can't be worse then that efforf from Kittyhawk of a Foxbat/// Andy.
adrianm2
It came out of the blue... I think is great news. Lets hope AMK can still offer us an alternative... just in case HB does a poor job in this kit. Adrian
Radleigh
I don't want to steer the thread off course to much.. but does anyone have a list of all the 'errors' on the KH Mig-25?

Radleigh
Seems to be a lot, but with some work and time could be sorted out. Thanks V.P
andym
Seems to be a lot, but with some work and time could be sorted out. Thanks V.P Getting the correct cross sections, especially on lower fuselage and nose will be one hell of a job. Andy

SeaVenom
What made the Mig 25 was the long nose. To me the Mig 31's lost that with it's more forward canopy/cockpit. and it just doesn't have such nice lines.

AlCZ
Whooo neeed a Kwik-E-Mart ? It´is understandard - and whooo neeeed another from Trumpy/HB ? I´am nooooot I don´t believe why one company can make kits of many types, on very different quality, some times as trolling of market.... It Trumpy/HB state owned company is under Chinese army managment ? This isn´t really normal, make the same kits... (and many times not better as competitive kit...) And really, really don´t understand why many kits of aircraft or AFV who have Chinese army in armanent are too inaccurate. Many others companies are too from China and their kits are more accurate and better :/
