Rodders154
I want to do the Matchbox BK117 as a yellow and black DHFS aircraft. I have the kit built but I am not sure of where to place some of the the markings. The DHFS choppers have the roundel on the tail but the boom on this aircraft is so thin and the strakes so big tjhat in my opinion they wont really be able to be put there. Where do britmodellers reckon the roundel would go I was thinking on the back doors but I am not sure. Also where do you think the serial number would be around and should the codes be numbers like the squirrel or numbers like the griffon. Any ideas chaps and chapesses Rodders PS using the roundels from the airfix chippy and the airframe uk update 5 sheet + decalbox for the rest
Paul J
I would place the roundels behind the doors side doors. On the other hand, on the boom and get a good decal softner so it follows the strakes. The 'DHFS' titling/ wording much the same place as the Squirrel and Bell. Serial would be OK on the boom as its quite small anyway. As for the codes, or 'last two,' again in a similar matching position as per Squirrel and Bell. Same font as well.
