Well welcome and thanks to everyone that voted, we made it here!

Ok so now start your planning. With the starting date towards the middle-ish of the year there is plenty of time to get organized even if you don't have a model to build yet.

Lets hear or see what you intend to bring along be it resin, vacform, wood, metal or any combination of said materials or other exotic material.

But please remember no Injection moulded plastic models and with conversion kits it will be highly unlikely that they will be allowed in, in keeping with the spirit of this GB.

Be brave and step outside your comfort zone, who knows you may find you actually like working with these materials.

All mine are white metal with perhaps one piece of i/m plastic on each. Unless I get casting and make it in white metal as well.

Lots of stuff sitting ready to go.

Perfect dates!

I completed 3 resin kits in 2014, must exceed this number in 2015

Spoilt for choice, but several spring to mind, Stargate Resin Horus 1/6 Figure or 1/32 H L Hunley submarine with cut away and full interior detail, resin and metal.

I Will throw myself into the deep and build the Classic Airframes Fokker G1 in 1/48. I hope I can pull it of.

Glad this got the go ahead.

I'm in with Whirlykits Short S.B.5. It has a bit of everything, resin, white metal and vac-formed parts.

Very pleased to see this GB up and running, after getting pipped at the post last year.

I will definitely be in with a resin aircraft kit, not sure what yet, need to have a rummage through the stash. If that goes ok I will have a bash at a vacform too.

I'm tinkering with the idea of building my Accurate Armour Independent A1E1 multi turreted tank. If that goes well then I may also the Sovereign 2000 Humber armoured car, both in 1:35.

I'm a bit concerned about this. I'd intended to do a vacform Dewoitine 510 (can't remember the make). It's quite crude and in need of detail parts. I thought I'd fashion a propeller out of an Airfix Defiant unit, or similar and grab some suitably sized wheels from the spares box. It doesn't sound like this would be allowed so I'm not sure how to proceed now.

I think I'm going to enter with a Magna Avro Ashton.., I need to buy the kit, but it's one I need to build so this could be the perfect excuse to get going.

Meri Kits 1/43 Brabham BT58 in white metal with etch sheet and rubber tyres for me - the only decisions are whether to do it in Brundle or Modena colours and which GP to plump for - let the research begin..

Hi John,

There was some discussion a while back about this, and if my memory serves me correctly the thinking was raiding the spares box for a few odd bits here and there is perfectly acceptable. In fact, it's often impossible to finish a basic vac without doing so!

I've got a Sanger 1/48th Avro Shackleton Mk3 ready and waiting for this GB - can't wait.

Excellent dates should give me time to rescale some drawings and combine wood, resin and a bit of metal into something special hopefully resembling a Tomcat....

John, as far as VacForm kits go we all know the details of the minor bits can be a wee bit crude........ok lumps of plastic!. You are fine to raid the spares box for bit to replace these lumps of plastic.

With all the builds in various material I think we can all agree that there may be a need to raid the spares box for the odd bits and pieces we need so that part is fine.

So replacing wheels, guns, props etc are allowed within the boundary's of the GB if the original parts a crap.

Opps, just read Tom's post easlier on...thanks for that Tom.

I've just managed to dig it out and it's not the case that the prop and wheels are crap - there aren't any! Well, to be fair, there is a spinner with the advice to use a propeller unit from an Airfix Aichi Val.

It's a RarePlanes, by the way.

So many multimedia kits to choose from.

Will it be RVHP, Anigrand, Welsh or another I will choose.

In with probably the Esoteric Grumman Guardian vacform.

I may also do a quick build of a Welsh Britannia in flight, older kit so full vacform.

My Airmodel Ye-8 will get injection wings so would not qualify. I also have a couple of resin kits in the stash, may be worth checking what they are like
