One-Two
Hi Guys. I present to you my latest finished airplane (my third overall). It is the weekend edition of the Lavochkin La-7 kit in 1/48 from Eduard (actually ex-Gavia). The aircraft depited is that belonging to Col. Dolgushin, spring 1945. Very nice kit which went toghether with no major problems. For WIP pls check here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234963761-lavochkin-la-7/ Hope you guys like it. Pls feel free for any comments/advices. All the best, Edited December 3, 2014 by One-Two
giemme
Excellent, One-Two, especially considering this is just your third model! You wanted a light weathering, that's exactly what you achieved. What's next? Ciao
Spitfire31
Superb model! The refuelling traces on the wings are perfect. I find it difficult to accept that this is your third model ever. Really? In that case – congratulations! You are obviously a 'natural' and the sky is the limit in the future. Kind regards, Joachim

One-Two
Thank you Guys for your kind words. @Spitfire 31: - yes, it is my third finished airplane model. Until now I finished one P47 D Bubbletop (Academy) and one F86 Sabre (Italeri). I also built (but without finishing them, because I didn't liked the results ) one P40 (Italeri) and one Spitfire XIV (Academy) - all in1/48. I learned quite a lot from my initial failures...and also watching topics of other much more experenced ones. I'm also quite on short finals with one F8F1 Bearcat - I hope I will be able to post it pretty soon here on RFI. @Giemme - now I's still working to finish the Bearcat...I didn't made my mind yet for the next project. Thank you Gents for yout interest and I'm really glad you like the small Lavochkin. All the best,

Learstang
Very nice work indeed! I've always thought that the La-7 was an underappreciated warplane and a very attractive one. What paint did you use for the undersurfaces? Regards, Jason

colin
Very nice indeed, Learstang: I'll take a guess and say Model masters underside blue on the undersides, if the bottle it's resting on is anything to go by
One-Two
Thank you Guys! @Learstang: as far as I know, this a/c was painted AMT 7 for underside ant AMT 11 for topside. After some testing, I decided to use as AMT 7 (for undersides) the Model Master 2126 "russian topside blue" (!!!). Although the MM guys are telling us that 2123 is for topsides, actually I think it is a very good match for what the russians were using for undersides - namely AMT7. Again after some testing, for topside I used MM2123 "russian underside blue" (!!). Although possibly too far away (too light) for the real AMT11, this color was the closest thing that I could find at my disposal... Hope this helps. Cheers,

Learstang
Actually, One-Two, that's what I've used for AMT-7. So good choice, at least by my reckoning. And Colin, so you have sharper eyes than my tired, old eyes - too much time working on 1/72nd scale kits, I'm afraid! Regards, Jason
