jaw
I saw the rather alarming news the GWH may have cancelled the planned 1/144 kit of the Victor B2, on BM, but then saw that Lucky Model of Hong Kong had the kit in stock, so I thought that I should buy the kit to add to my stock of V bombers. I went into their website, found the kit and added it to my cart. This is the first time that I have used Lucky Model so had to register with them. Much to my surprise the first box that I had to fill in was a login followed by a password! Since I have not used them before I was very puzzled with this, so my question is have other BMers used Lucky Model and how did they overcome this apparent issue. Or am I being thick! Or, if the news about the cancellation is wrong, should I wait until it is available in the UK - which if the timescale follows that of the Vulcan could be well into next year. Thanks, John
Spooky56
Use them quite a lot, quick service and no issues other than the HMRC ransom lottery but that's case with any non EU imports
593jones
When I first used Lucky Model I just had to register like any other site. Used them quite a lot and always had good service from them. I'll certainly be getting a Victor from them.
jckspratt1
I've used them a fair bit. They've been very good lately (prior to their real-time stock listings there were some issues, but that's in the past). I wonder if you misread part of a page - were you given the option of registering or logging in as a previous customer, and accidentally clicked that you were a previous customer? Just go back into the site and register as a new customer. In Australia we don't have the problems Spooky mentions, so no comment there. It must be bad though if Hannants (for eg) can get away with charging what they do for WNW kits when it is so relatively cheap to get them direct. Arachnid
Why not let China and India join the EC, So they could be seen to be helping the Modeling Community, and BM could get a huge Eurogrant ? the MDman
As a frequent buyer at LM I've never had any issues with them. Oké, re-stock lists are a bit optimistic, but the service is very good and they always replay quickly on any question. And a lot of PE and resin stuff is free from postage. Can you imagine, a really big box with only a refuelling probe for an Intruder, P&P free from the other side of the world?

jaw
Thanks for this. I have had an e-mail telling me how to get into their system. I have now done this, although I found their website a bit clunky. No matter the deed is done and I should have a GWH Victor B2 delivered to me in 10 days or so. andym
Use them all the time. Select the "Declare low value invoice", "Please use no-logo box" and "Do not put invoice into the box" options when checking out. I have never been charged by customs after doing this.
