dr_gn
I noticed this in the LHS last week:http://www.revell.de/en/products/model-building/ca...I'm pretty sure it's a re-boxing of the Heller/Humbrol kit, which I built a long time ago as the Humbrol boxing. For anyone interested in these cars, it's a very good model, especially if the £16 price from some online shops is correct. Not over-complicated, plenty of detail and IIRC the mouldings were very sharp. The only things needed to improve it are real wire wheels, but the kit ones on mine weren't a disaster. JOCKNEY
Can I ask, if given a choice do you build this one or the larger scale Airfix one ?

cmatthewbacon
Can I ask, if given a choice do you build this one or the larger scale Airfix one ? There's little to choose between them on detail or accuracy. Depends if you want a big impressive beastie or a small impressive beastie... (and on your budget) These two are the big Airfix: And these two are the 1/24 Heller/Revell kit: The smaller kit was built by my then 11 year old daughter, and I think she did a pretty good job! bestest,M .
dr_gn
Im going to get the Revell version tomorrow and hope one day to find some decent wheels for it. I built my original Humbrol version when I was a kid and it still looked like a Bentley so it must be a good kit!
JOCKNEY
Hi M Both cars are fantastic, I have a shed load of aircraft to finish but now want to build the Bentley. Please tell me you daughter still builds kits as she obviously has a real talent, you must be a very proud dad ! Cheers Pat
dr_gn
Does anyone know of a supplier of model wire wheels suitable for this? I've also got the excelelnt little Airfix MG K3 and a Merit Alfa Romeo that would get built if only I had some decent wheels.
cmatthewbacon
These might do for the K3: http://www.penelopepitlane.co.uk/vmchk/wheels-tyres/23-vintage-spoked-wheel-inserts.html More sets here, if you don't like the look of those: http://www.penelopepitlane.co.uk/vmchk/wheels.html And you could ask SE Finecast if they would sell you a set of their 1/24 Bentley wheels separately -- they seem to do it for many of their other kits: http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/Car_Kits___Scale_1_24.html http://www.sefinecast.co.uk/PriceList.pdf bestest, M.
