Platypus
2015 is not going to be good for the kit stash: Trumpy Mig-29 (9.12 and 9.51), Trumpy Su-24 and Zvezda Mig 29 (9.13)....

thepureness
trumpeter - good box art? what next, it contains an accurate kit?
exdraken
its nice artwork! but great and accurate is another thing! the engine nozzles are fully open (maybe even more than in full burner - i.e. ground idle mode) and the engines aer smoking like hell..... strange I have a hard time imagining me a smokey engine in full afterburner ! but lets hope for a nice kit! Apparently, for the smoke, it is true: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvSBdDaCS1E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI90_bRnzcQ Zvezda is about to release a Mig-29 9-13, with Trumpeter releasing MIG-29 SMT MiG-29A and MIG-29UB, I think 2015 is the year of 1/72 Mig-29 (finally!) I've seen at live some flying MiG-29s from close. Well, lets say these are smoking like they would be an Opel Astra F TDi.

Kampartiger
That's why in Malaysian service, the Migs are called Smokey Bandits!Once many years ago a flight from the local airforce base overflew the Formula 1 grandstand and the smoke it produced was akin to someone burning leaves(lots of it) at your front door!

Laurent
The test build showed that the auxiliary intakes are opened (=bad... opened when engines are running except if the springs have been damaged) but still the kit could be superior to existing 1/72 MiG-29s. Lets see the price first... Edited August 5, 2015 by Laurent
niki
21,95 Euros with a German online hobby shop (as pre-order listed). Edited August 5, 2015 by niki
Laurent
21,95 Euros with a German online hobby shop (as pre-order listed). They sell the HB Jaguar for 27.50€. Either HB and Trump do not have the same pricing policy even if they belong to the same group, either they realized that demand didn't follow supply anymore. I may have to buy the kit then. Giorgio N
€ 22 is not bad for a good quality 1/72 MiG-29. This is one kit I'm really looking forward to, I share Laurent's hope that it could be the best 29 around. Fingers crossed...
Laurent
I share Laurent's hope that it could be the best 29 around. Considering that the painting directions drawings and instruction sheet profile probably come from line drawings obtained from the CAD model (check T-38C paint directions and instruction sheet: shapes look as weird as the ones of the kit), I believe that the shapes shouldn't be too bad. Except if the designer didn't use cross-sections data.
Borisz
Released. Source: http://www.trumpeter-china.com/index.php?g=home&m=product&a=show&id=237 V.P. I bring You the bad news. The decal #5 is incorrect. The hornet is the badge of the other fighter sqad, should be the puma head in the both sides, like this: Earlyer: 21,95 Euros with a German online hobby shop (as pre-order listed). More or less the same here in Hungary. Edited August 7, 2015 by Borisz

It's all the sprue I got from my friend. Some parts are for other Fulcrum variants... It's for other variant, I believe : Fittings are good overall Towbar : I feel that the cockpit area is a little bit "strange" in shape, so I compare it with GWH : Using Ken Duffey's method to check profiles : now I leave that to the Fulcrum experts.... Laurent
Except if the designer didn't use cross-sections data. Probably still the best existing 1/72 MiG-29. And not too expensive. And with a tow bar. And a good amount of ordnance. Edited August 7, 2015 by Laurent

madcop
Mmmmmmmmmmm... this cockpit section ...looks a little bit strange at first sight. I think I'll keep my money for ZVEZDA, they know their stuff for sure. Madcop
