Team Aer Lingus
Just a couple of pics taken this year In Collins Barracks (formerly Royal Barracks one of the oldest barracks in the world) Dublin The Vampire & Miles Magister are on Permanent display in the Soldiers & Chiefs Exhibition the Alouette & Fouga were on loan for short periods from the Irish Air Corps Museum Baldonnel hopefully more planes will appear in Clarke Square Its a testimony to the hard work of Airman Michael Whelan & others in Baldonnel that these aircraft have been preserved in the first place finally some effort is being made to keep instead of scrap some unique Airframes Hope you enjoy the pics! tonyot
Great pics there and I agree that it is nice to see the Irish Forces saving some of its historical equipment including aircraft, they are in mint condition. The barracks are impressive too! I`d love to get to Baldonnel one day, Cheers Tony
