1/72 Airfix Blackburn Buccaneer - Miss Jolly Roger

Recommended Posts

This is my first attempt at a rescribe. Bit gutted as the resin fuel probe came off. I found it and put it somewhere safe. Unfortunately it's gone again

Tried contacting Freightdog re the probe, no reply at all. Not even a "sorry we can't supply".

I have done on of these kits from Airfix and its not the easiest kit to rescribe with the shape of the aircraft and all the fit issues, but not bad for a first attempt. I used what felt like half a tonne of dymo tape on mine just to rescribe around the fuselage alone and that took forever to do.

So all in all good job.

For a first attempt at rescribing, well done! It is a thankless task that takes for ever... I personally just try not to think too much about the tempus that fugit.

Just rescribed a Heller Mirage IIIC on and off over 3 weeks, and I am left with about 30% of my lines that need to be filled with CA glue and rescribed again... Big moments of solitude...

You must have had those as well.

But enough bitching: keep on re-scribing and you'll get good at it! Or buy Tamiya models! More expensive, but better for the nerves.

Cheers
