Built quickly and for fun. Camouflage is somewhat generic and while the markings are from the box they aren't for this camouflage. Just wanted to build something and finish it in a reasonable amount of time ( About six days all up over a few weekends this month.) I'm recharging my modelling batteries so to speak and having a lot of fun.

I hope you like my little efforts.

Evocative pose and really nice build and finish!

My only nag would concern the dark wash used to further emphasise the fabric covered control surfaces. The framework effect becomes much too pronounced and quite unrealistic. In real life, it's hardly visible at all, even close by.

That apart, a thorughly impressive display!

Kind regards,

Joachim

Thank you gentlemen for all of your wonderful comments. I am overwhelmed that you like my little efforts.

I'm pleased that my in flight display came off as well as it did. I have a few more ideas to try out on my next few kits.

Joachim-Your criticism is well taken. I was trying out some new materials and as I am usually not very subtle at the best of times I went overboard.

each build is a learning experience and I am constantly working towards getting better and more subtle.

The wooden base is a sofa/ottoman leg turned upside down, sprayed flat black with some little rubber feet and a chromed doorstop as an up right. The connection to the plane is two sections of square brass tube which have a slip fit one inside the other. I packed out the fuselage with epoxy putty to give the tube something to seat into and spread the weight of the model and used a bit more of the putty to finish off where the square tube fits into the hole of the doorstop. Not especially pretty but it works, is cheap and repeatable. I just need to work out how I'm going to add some nane plates to the front of the bases. IHTH.
