azureglo
Hi all For my next dubious attempt at modelling I've agreed to build the Airfix T11 for Solent Sky Museum in the markings of XD596 as it was when displayed.. Although I have access to it, its buried under multiple tarpaulins, jammed next to a few other stored airframes and piled high with a decade of dirt in a freezing warehouse in the wilds of Hampshire Does any kind soul have any decent shots of her when displayed? Solent Sky used to be called the Southampton Hall of Aviation until fairly recently so I'm pretty sure someone here may have visited a few years ago and snapped away before it got replaced with Neill Hallam's Swiss T11. I have found the one below in the public domain but any decent close ups, especially the wing under surfaces would be welcome. So dig deep folks and save a fellow BM'er from hypothermia and the attack of the Killer Hampshire Spider Hordes. Cheers Anil
Martin @ RAM Models
Can't help you with this one personally (and maybe a little late considering the date) but if you are Facebook active there is a group called De Havilland Vampire Appreciation Society. I've asked a couple of times for specific images and someone has always managed to help.
