viper-30
It's a fun build. Have you done the wheels yet
adamsoco
I've widened them with spacers, and will be making a jig to put tread on once I have flattened them down a bit.
viper-30
Lol I was going to say they need widening ..looking forward to more. Terry
adamsoco
NATO Towhitch installed and basecoats going on. Note a glimpse of the widened wheels. I've also noticed that the model has offset front and rear axles so will be correcting this with spacers. Pedals have gone in, seat belt buckles are in place for the front seats, and built an 'engine block' so that you cannot see straight through the front wheel arches from one side to the other. adamsoco
Test fitting the body. Shows just how out of alignment the front and rear wheels are! Move front wheels in or rear wheels out?

adamsoco
unfortunately it might be a while until I can update this WIP due to the following mishap... Good news, I managed to recover most of the accessories off the body shell. Bad news, have got to try and find another kit so I can continue the build.
Alpha Delta 210
Oh no. What happened?
adamsoco
I was painting the next coat followed by drying and, unfortunately left it warm for too long. The plastic was a lot thinner than anticipated and melted rapidly. Gutted is an understatement.
Alpha Delta 210
Sorry to hear that. What were you using to dry it?

Okdoky
Use that model for a roll over and finish it of as is !!!!! If you are getting another kit anyway then you are as well making use of the work you have done so far !!!!!Just need to look for some ideas as to how to mimic the shatttered glass for the windscreens !!!!!Keep the chin up !!!!!!Nige
adamsoco
Thanks Nige. I'll be looking to use it as a roll over (possibly camel trophy scheme), especially as this arrived in the post today... So we are back on track but with yet another build to do!
