chrisrope
Nope, not by me anyway, I'd like to see it Someone on here did the F-22 from the film a while back, looked good
logical
Would look like the original one not the nasty Michael Bay mess. Masking and the decepticon logo maybe fun to mask up though. Credit to the owner of the picture given.

The dragonborn
Build it clean and save all the underwing goodies for the Revell re-release
logical
I have no idea what those missile/gun things are. I was considering a pair of Sidewiders on the wing stores and leave it at that.
SaintsPhil
That's a great idea! I bought the Academy F-15I to use the parts to convert the Revell kit, I was going to use the left over parts to practice airbrushing/weathering but now I have a much better idea for it!!! Pete in Lincs
Bung it in the Sci Fi thread & the rivet counters will never find it! Great idea. Is it done yet?

Truro Model Builder
... I painted my newly purchased F-15E Seymour Johnson Academy kit as Starscream from Transformers? Probably, but what the heck? It's your model. As they say in journalism, publish and be damned. Edited November 14, 2014 by T7 Models
plastic-stasher
I hate to say this, but you may stand a serious risk of nasty things happening if you don't match the paint shades exactly. You know what people are like! (or was that ARC I was thinking of?_
Procopius
Certainly given the wailing and gnashing of teeth about a soulless explosion merchant, for mere money, despoiling an innocent children's cartoon aimed only at giving joy and selling billions of dollars worth of folding plastic toys, one does run a risk from that quarter. logical
Well I've bought the red, grey and blueypurple paints. Along with a clear yellow for the canonpy. So once I've got my Tonka out of the way it's all go Where could I get the decals made up for the Decepticon logos?
Pete in Lincs
Scroll down the main forum index to the shops/traders. Paul Parkes is your man.
logical
Right. This has been started. I'd like to say in earnest but he wasn't quite accommodating enough. Main issues I forsee. 1. what will be best purple to paint Decepticon logos in. Is purple paint even available? 2. Out of the stock parts how can I make the weapons? I'm thinking hacking the Aim9's up but what to splice them to? This is what they look like on the toy. Edited November 25, 2014 by logical
Roo
Tamiya sell purple paint that look similar to the decepticon logo. Humbrol do a purple too. I know it is a light colour, but there may be a darker version too. Edited November 25, 2014 by Roo
ChrisL
Games Workshop certainly sold purple paints back when I was playing with Space Marines. They did (and probably still do) a lot more bright colours than your typical "serious" model paint producers do. I'm not sure about the ordnance, maybe dress up the drop tanks or some large bombs with various bits nabbed from the other weapons?
logical
Well I've started it. The model is built and into paint. Still got to work out Decepticon logos and the Null Ray weapons. Picture is in Sci-fi Rfi.
