leyreynolds
I'm looking for photo's of this station for a WW2 diorama. Can anyone please suggest references?
Graham Boak
Google Wool Railway Station and look at the Images suggested. None specifically WW2 as far as I could see but I just checked that it wasn't only modern views. Edit: Other than that, ask on some of the specialist railway sites. Not being a Southern enthusiast (NE/LNER myself) I can't add anything from personal experience, but the various historic railway magazines might help if approached directly. Darby
Wool shrinks when wet so some of the images may be small
old thumper
Very surprised to read somebody asking about Wool, did you know there was a branch line built from Wool to Bovington Camp during WW1?
Derbyeomanry
My dad was based at Wool at the beginning of WW2. Met my mum at Bovington in 1947 - used to travel to and from leave via Wool station. Theres a pic of the station around the time of WW1 on page 5 of George Fortys Bovington Tanks book Edited November 6, 2014 by Derbyeomanry
Bangor Lad
Suggest you try RMWeb. There are a few smashing layouts set in the same period.
