Paul J
Nice. I read somewhere that the design had some Mustang commonality. An attractive aeroplane I think.
Work In Progress
It doesn't have any actual P-51 parts in it, but it was a North American design and some of the early marketing played on the P-51 connection as it was very fresh in people's minds in the late '40s. One nod to that is that, unusually for a four seat aeroplane, it has a big sliding canopy rather than doors. North American made a few and then sold the design to Ryan in 1948. Ryan made most of the production.
