tonyot
I really like this model and have a soft spot for the A9 after reading a book featuring British tankies in the desert (it may have been Jake Wardrop`s famous diary?) which mentioned that the small machine gun turrets of the A9 were uninhabitable due to the heat! The A9 looks like a mixture of the Valentine and an A13 Cruiser! Valentine running gear and chassis with A13 Cruiser turret and superstructure. Great modelling,........love it! IanC
The A9 looks like a mixture of the Valentine and an A13 Cruiser! Valentine running gear and chassis with A13 Cruiser turret and superstructure. You're right, but it was a very unfortunate mixture - far too slow for a 'cruiser' but thinly armoured so no good as an 'infantry tank'. They had to call it a 'heavy cruiser' instead! A couple of years of desert warfare finally put paid to all these delusions. Ian
Lethal
Great piece of armor. Those machine gun turrets up front are hilarious!
