Courageous
Thought I'd dip my toe in the water with a model that I'd completed a while ago. This is the resin/ PE kit from Cromwell Models. On the whole I didn't have too many problems, and if I did I just battled through them. I know I went through the effort of improving the rivet definition on the turret by buying said rivets and gluing them on where necessary. My models are then primed with the ever faithful 'Halfords' primer, and enamels for the camouflage. Markings are a mixture of decals, rub-on stencils and painted. Having never really mastered the art of weathering, I tend to limit it to dry-brushing and a coloured wash to show some kind of use. Silver Fox
Lovely work, I reckon they would have been kept pretty clean until the Germans actually attacked. What colour paints did you use?
HOUSTON
Now that is quite a lovely weathered tank...
noeyedears
very good looker. just shows the not everything needs to be covered in six inches of mud and beaten with a wrench to look real.
Courageous
Thanks for all the comments. If my memory serves me correctly, paints were definitely enamels, possibly by 'White Ensign'. I'm not a lover of keeping anything clean but I can't weather either so most things tend to get a wash of some description.

Chris B
Very nice. I do like these 30's British tanks I bought one of the last few modified ex Cromwell kits from 'Inside the Armour' and I started it a couple of days ago. A much more complete kit than the Cromwell issue A10 I built a couple of years ago. Chris
Courageous
Chris, as modellers, we build with what's available at the time for the money. This was the only kid on the block at the time, maybe it still is. I've also built 1/35 Churchill by Cromwell, will post images of this when I get round to it. Norman
Well done indeed I think the weathering is just right from my point of view Cheers
Chris B
Stuart Re posting 12 - agreed, and given that ITA is no longer offering the A9 nor A10, I don't know of any 1/35 kits of either currently available. I'm glad I got mine when I did I bought a Cromwell Conqueror about 10 years ago when Gordon had a sale and I started that a year or so back but stalled due to the resin for the turret basket being so warped/short shot as to be unusable. Given that there's going to be an injection kit of this issued in the near future it's likely that it'll never be finished. Chris
spitfire
Great job, I really like those early war British tanks, pity they are so rare in kit form. Cheers Dennis
Courageous
Generally, I think early British armour has been by-passed for a long time, hopefully companies like Bronco will get round to filling this void.
dfqweofekwpeweiop4
Nice to see an early WWII British tank. I do quite like the 'cruisers' from the early ones like these all the way thorough to the Comet. thanks Mike

Buzby061
Just the job, nicely finished. The multi turrets remind me of some of the Russian tanks of the same era. Pete
