Ok People

Here my Bf 110 D

Boxart.jpg

Even if instructions says that plane was based in Trapani (Sicily), I explane to you that the Three squadrons (7,8 and 9/ZG26) were in Palermo Boccadifalco (primary base)

and sometime in Trapani ( 100km west of Palermo); because this town is more near Sicilian channel and this planes were used as escort to ships convoy and reconnaissance in this sea zone.

My heart tells me to do this piece, partly because I was born in Palermo and raised Boccadifalco airport........thanks to my dear dad modeller

See you soon

Ettore, welcome! I have a great interest in Sicily and its role in the second world war. May I one day ask some questions from you in PM? Just spent a week this summer in Forza d'Agro, Messina and Taormina :-) V-P

Hi All

Yesterday I started preparing the internal components separately and then glued them on the cockpit floor

1_Elementidelcockpit.jpg

The general color is 02 Grau which I then washed with brown and slightly soiled with Tamiya dust

2_Scoloriturelavaggiepolveri.jpg

At soon, with the inside of the fuselage that account to finish this evening

Nice start on this one.

The difference in the detail between this and the airfix kit us astonishing. Methinks I picked the wrong kit :P

Look forward to more progress.

Mmm, that cockpit looks very good, and as you said k, so much better than the sparse Aitfix one.

They are two very different kits, Airfix is the “ tradition” improved in recent years, Eduard is the “revolution” in the presentation and delivery of accessories in the box.

But nothing prevents an Airfix kit to be enhanced with self auto construction and with aftermarket set bought.

Hello beautiful people!
I kept building the interiors; first a nice preshading

3_Preshadinginterno.jpg

Then the classic RLM 02 Grau

4_VelaturediRLM02.jpg

It seems a medium gray in the picture, but it is a problem due at the white calibration of my camera............maybe :coolio:

5_RLM02Lightsupannelli.jpg

However, after a few hours I highlighted the edges and made light washes

6_Lavaggiopannelliinterni.jpg

Final result

7_risultatofinalepannellaturainterna.jpg

And now we are ready to close all

For this week I finish here, Saturday we'll see

Hello everyone
Many of us devote the weekend to family, hobbies, unfortunately, even shopping centers.
Fortunately for this Saturday and Sunday, I'm available from the airport, so I stay at home ready for any eventuality technique.
I worked so hard on the kit: I closed the fuselage, some light grout, then I glued the wings and resin tips

10_Lievistuccature.jpg

11_Controllofitali.jpg

12_Aggiustamentodeldiedro.jpg

13_Tipsalariinresina.jpg

the putty between the wings and the fuselage is Mr. Surfacer 1000, I clean with cotton swab and thinner for Gunze enamels

14_StuccaturealariconMrSurfacer1200.jpg

15_puliziastuccaturecondiluenteGunze.jpg

The engines nacelles were made separately and then joined to the wings

16_Gondoleevanicarrellidipintiaparte.jpg

A bit of filler and primer in the most dangerous and difficult zones

18_Stuccaturemirate.jpg

19_mascheraturapozzetti.jpg

this afternoon, after soccer matches, I'll spray the two primers............

A nice Sunday to all !!!

Meticulous work Ettore. I like your method of supporting the model while working on it, might have to "borrow" that idea! :)

As I said yesterday,in afternoon I sprayed the two primers

A medium grey on lower surfaces

20_Primergrigiomedioinferiore.jpg

and a light grey up

21_Primergrigiochiarosuperiore.jpg

After two hours I did the preshading

24_diversificazionedeipannellilaterali.j

and immediately after I pulverized the RLM 76

22_RLM76leggero.jpg

I prefer not to wait for the drying of preshadind, so the colors blend better, then I lightened the interior panels

23_diversificazionedeipannelli.jpg

and here's the bottom surfaces

25_Superficiinferiori.jpg

This bottom then it will go even worked a little with dirt and other

.............. and now we begin another week of hard work
