Devilfish
When the X-35 program turned into the F-35, the X-35B was bought for use by the Empire Test Pilots School, to enable training of prospective test pilots on 5th gen and STOVL aircraft. Panda 1/48 X-35B. Strangely, although you get all the relevant doors and intakes/exhausts, the rear nozzle only comes in aft position. I cut and repositioned it to suit.
Paul J
Hate the thing....but the scheme your well finished model is in, is the only one in the UK that suits it. Purely for experimental, test and evaluation. Nice one.
Devilfish
Never been a big fan either, but it has Whif potential
GrahamS
Always liked the ETPS scheme and this one is no exception. Still think the original should go the same way as XR219 though - blown up at Shoeburyness! Graham

Procopius
I like both the model and the F-35 proper, and I thank heaven that I was born recently enough that I'll be alive to hear all the carping about "gone before its time" and "what a splendid aircraft" when it's finally taken out of service in twenty or thirty years.
DaveCromie
How to make any pug ugly aircraft look fantastic - stick it in Rasberry Ripple! Love this WHIF!
bentwaters81tfw
Nice model of a crap aircraft. Reminds me of my RAE Raptor from a couple of years back.
