Recommended Posts

That trip down south, RNAS Museum wasn't it and the hidden parts too no doubt

feel the waves of envy radiating towards B's A ;)

glad you like it

It was, the RNAS Museum plus Lyme Regis, the modelshow on the Saturday at the museum then Stonehenge and Old Warden to pick up two of these before heading back home. :banghead::winkgrin:

You may just have a parasit... Passenger on that malt run Andy

Ice no lemonade pliss

(my dad, a true Scot actually took a drop of lemminglade with his blended, but never with a malt thank the powers that be)

Glad you like Scouty, another itch scratched. Doing well with those these days.

bring yer goggles and proof your personality is in the singular and you can blast her round yerself old mate

(you should see me on track days, some days I only have a few laps for peeps borrowing her for a quicky. They like the neutral shmuck off a shiney shovel ways she goes, even if max is only 115)

As Keef says it's not so much the top speed but the handling on these old girls.......talking of which,

peeps borrowing her for a quicky

Don't let the memsahib read this for Gawds sake !

Good friend of mine had an Austin-Healey 3 ltr which we used to bomb about the backwaters of Herfordshire in ...very lively when wet, scared the locals and us stupid.

I'll bring full flying kit and wellies...anyone got an unfurled Union Jack ??

Looks like I had best arrange for the old geezers on carpark duty to set out a wee bit twisty trackage

They can handle the start finish queue and work the chequered fag... oops I meant flagggg

as I always say

OK then

  • 2 weeks later...

Apologies for the crappulous nature of the pictures, I'm not much of a photographer either

.

I don't think they were crapulous until I saw Scoutie in the flesh at Telford. the I realised that they were crapulous cos she looked even better for real........

I agree the Scout looked wonderful Bill and I agree it was a good ploy bunging it in the comp room so everyone knew where it was....good to catch up with you again, ironic that you were stationed almost the next table along and that we didn't bump into each other until half way through the show...........plus you subconsciously caused me to visit John to get hold of the Skeeter !!

Scout is just brill, Bill!!

Agree with Steve about how it looked better for real - same as Aaron's & Nigel's helicoptery things. It's oft said that we tend to forget how small these things are looking at huge pics on the screen, but not having built one for years I also tend to forget how delicate they are - something the Scout brings out really well with the excellent work you put into it.

K

PS Andy, did look out for you a couple of times after our chance meeting in the kitswap, but you were nowhere to be found - probably off buying Skeeters or somesuch....!!

PPS thanks for the coffee Bill, hopefully I can return the favour in Cosford!

Just noticed your RFI pics Bill, can't believe how much detail you've crammed in to this thing, it can't be much bigger than a gnat - the insect variety!!!

You're eyes must be in need of a rest! Great to put your face to your name at Telford too :)

Cheers, Neil
