MiG-Mech
Long time after "release" the kit is really released and finally I got mine. Looks as good as the single seater. Edited February 19, 2017 by MiG-Mech
MiG-Mech
Okay, starting with building and found the first "?". Adding the central external tank is not scheduled. But there is one hole in the lower fuselage for the first attachment point, close to the nose gear well.
orckawolf
I was surprised to find that the tween seater is 30% to 50% more expensive than the single seaters. Actually, I am very disapointed so I'll wait with buying it, or I'll buy the old Italeri.

I always full unwanted pre-drilled attachment holes with stretched sprue - just press the flared end into the hole from the inside until it fits snugly, snip and glue. While on the subject - in the real world, is the MiG-29UB even capable of mounting the centreliner? I've only ever seen pictures of them with wing tanks. MiG-Mech
The UB normally carries the centre tank. I cannot remember ever seen an UB with wing tanks.

MiG-Mech
This is not a MiG-29UB 9-51, it's a MiG-29UBT 9-53.

You can see the RSK batch, which shows it as a company owned plane. I guess, this UB was upgraded with aux wing tanks to cross the atlantic, like the few german MiG-29A for example. hacker
The thing is with Mig 29 models they always have the top intake doors open where the majority of 29s have them closed. Easily fixed.
MiG-Mech
The new Zvezda kit has them closed. I guess the coming UB by Zvezda has them closed, too. And I wonder, so many people are blaming kits, when one rivet is missing and say that's why the kit is unbuildable, but the incorrect position of main and aux doors is never a point for criticising. Also while buliding a 29 kit, people correct and scratch so many things, but wrong doors are ignored.
MiG-Mech
Is there another version of the 29 coming in future? In all 4 Trumpeter -29 parts J2 and J6 for heavy duty pylon are not used. Edited April 17, 2017 by MiG-Mech
