1/72 Revell Blohm & Voss Bv P-194

Thanks chaps, oh yes I will crack on with the Osprey tomorrow.

When I reviewed my last post I realised I had forgotten to oil wash the bomb bay doors so before varnishing I got on with that:

It was a bit awkward now they were attached but with a tissue and cotton bud I got it finished:

I also brush painted some fine lead wire for the brake lines after applying clear metal primer:

Then I got the varnishing done:

There were a few white flecks which I had to scrape off with a scalpel but otherwise it went well.

I then glued on the bombs using Gator glue which would dry invisible:

I left the bombs off until after the varnish as I wanted to retain their satin finish:

The brake lines were dry now so I could glue them on:

I had to use superglue for those so I then had to retouch the varnish.

The final parts to go on were the main wheels:

I then had a right game unmasking the glazing:

I might still have a fiddle with that.

The last job on this build was to apply some pastel weathering around the guns and things and I used Mr colour smoke grey to add some oil streaks to the radial engine:

I think this is finished now. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny so I will get to work on some RFI shots.

Bye and thanks for watching,

Nigel
