Superb built.I love the look of all three. i always liked the british carriers, although I don't like the ugly ramps at all, which spoils the sleek look of the ship. I would built them only completly flat without the ramp. A personal taste of mine. :wow: :wow: :wow::goodjob::gobsmacked::speak_cool::winkgrin:

Edit: A taste of me or a taste of mine = Mein persönlicher Geschmack? Please correct me, what is right. :mental: Cheers

taste of mine

Thanks. I wasn't sure of it. But it's always easier to ask here, than to use a dictionary. So if you have a question for a german translation for something, then feel free to ask me. I would appreciate that. It's no problem. Thanks.

Jeez! I thought it was an actual phot when I first saw it! Cotton wool for goffer is ingenious and at that distance apart there's no excuse for not getting the line across for the RAS.

Absolute masterpiece.

Absolute masterpiece.

At that distance, you could heave a monkey's fist across the oggin. ;)

Very nice work indeed. The rusty patches on Yarmouth are stunningly realistic, but the whole thing oozes atmosphere.

I just looked through the photos again on page 1, and still think this is the best naval diorama I've ever seen!

Such a great subject; the already classic Hermes with usual Sea Harriers and less than usual RAF Harrier GR3s on board, and her famous escorts; I remember well following the Falklands conflict closely on the news at the time and this diorama is a great reminder.

Glad to see this one back up top again, lots of new members are going to go crazy over this!

You got that right! This new member has just been back and worked through the entire build. Absolutely fabulous work, it redefines "scratch built" in my vocabulary!
