Ok so we made a start on the mossie.

First up I started on the wings where the old flaps made way for the new.

After I finished the mossie over the xmas period, I started the Ventura as well.

Wing halves cemented, not a nice join around the engine nacelles though which will require filling with my preferred filler technique.

Using Tony's build, I chopped the cockpit flooring and bulkhead, removing the co pilot area completely. I also added a control panel (black box)

Fuselage cemented together and mated to the wings., no real issues with the wing joins.

Tail boom added.

Now filling using my mixture of plastic sprue and a melting agent which is well known in some quarters. I've heard you can use Tamiya cement but what a waste so this stuff is bought commercially.

It great as it hardens to the plastic of the kit and can be sanded as normal plastic. This method offers better finish to that of other fillers which can leave a grainy texture and also sometimes requiring additional sanding to remove the excess product which results in the loosing of detail or misshaping the aircraft.

A fair size levelling required fore and aft of the bomb bay. The plastic filler can be used to build up areas too.

And after, nice and smooth without the detail being lost.

Revised aft and fore of the bomb bay post filler.

First Coat of Earth applied with nose section also cemented in place.
