ChristianK
Gentlemen, on its October newspage Hasegawa announced this Dual Combo-Kit: http://www.hasegawa-model.co.jp/e-w/NEWDETAIL/1410/02115.html Their D-9 would need some new parts for this - Does anyone know if Hasegawa includes them here? Cheers, Christian
dfqweofekwpeweiop4
You would imagine they would have to have new parts. However, I would suggest you buy the AZ Models Fw190D-11 and D-13 kits as they are very nicely moulded with lots of detail and cost under a tenner each! So much cheaper than the Hasegawa kits but probably not as easy to build. thanks Mike
andreas_v
See here: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10290163 Resin parts it seems. Cheers
ChristianK
@Andreas: Thanks for the link! That was I was looking for @Mike: You are right, I forgot that AZ improved the awful RV fuselage - but the Hasegawa offering is interesting nonetheless. Their D-9 had always been a good competition. Cheers and thanks for your help again! Christian
dfqweofekwpeweiop4
I've got several Hasegawa Fw190D-9's and I agree, they are nice to build and look good when done. I got the Hasegawa dual combo cheaply and I've built Barkhorn's D-9 as the first one and I'm not sure what I'll do for the second one. I did also get the Jabo boxing so I could do Rudel's Fw190. Finally I also have the Tamiya D-9 and the Loon models conversion (as well as am decals) to make either a D-11 or D-13. I think I'll also get an AZ kit but I don't know which one yet! Also the if you bought the AZ models kits, you'd get more marking options. thanks Mike
The wooksta V2.0
All they've done is add in a few stick on bits, which doesn't alter the entire nose one millimeter - the D-11/12/13 had a larger and wider engine cowling which very subtly bulges out. ARBA and SAM did resin nose jobs for the kit in 72nd. As Mike says, go straight for the AZ kits which are rather nice, certainly better than the ageing Hasegawa kit.
