Evalman
One of the benefits of volunteering at Classic Air Force is the opportunity to photograph visiting aircraft as well as the museum residents. Here is a selection taken during the last few months. None of these were taken 'airside', they were taken from public areas often using my trusty stepladder. Foghorn Leghorn
Beautiful pics. That red/white/blue merlin is the worst colour scheme I've ever seen I hope it's a WIP and not finished
pigsty
V nice, and well done for finding so much sunshine in the land of the forty-knot fog. How is it when I go down that way, the only traffic is from flybe?

Evalman
Thanks for the kind replies. I must admit when I heard rumours that AW101s were going to be at Newquay for a while I was hoping to see them in 'proper' markings like the Algerian Navy and Indian AF Helicopters that operated from there previously. Still it has been nice to see something different down there.

Evalman
Great pics,....are those Merlins operated by Westlands on trials duties? I`ve never seen these before. Cheers Tony The two grey AW101s (ZR339 and ZR343) were part of the Indian AF order that was cancelled last year. They have been retained by AgustaWestland and a have been used at Newquay to train aircrew from the Nigerian AF in recent weeks. The White AW101 (ZR344) was also from the ex Indian contract but has been repainted in Nigerian Air Force colours, unfortunately the national markings were taped over during its visit to Newquay. I understand that it flew up to Stanstead a day or two later for delivery to the Nigerian AF.
