Eduard Messerschmitt Bf-110C 1:48

Hi!

I was buliding this model for 75 anniversary of WWII start - 1 September 1939. On that day Germany invaded my country from west, north (East Prussia) and south (Czechoslovakia), on 17 September Russia attacked us from East and our fate was sealed. We bravely fought alone more than month - to 6 October 1939 (that's only week less than Battle of France lasted). Please friends remember where it all starts!

My model presents Bf-110 from East Prussia, pilot Alfred Warrelmann. He scores 4 destroyed airplanes in Polish campaign.

Love it! Very nice - this paint scheme is my preferred one on the Me-110. Together with the Me-109 it looks just great.

Well done.

Cheers,

Michael

PS: I remember well how bravely the Polish army was fighting against the German masses.

What a beautiful model! And your attention to detail is impressive, like the RLM 02 inside of the cockpit framing.

It's interesting that you've selected a successful Bf 110 as your subject in the Polish campaign, since there it seemed to verify the concept of the heavy, twin-engined fighter.

It would look great in a diorama!

Kind regards,

Joachim

Bf-110 is very nice plane, I chose it because it's not popular in web galleries. Yes, it was rather a bad fighter.

Good model, well made and finshed. Nice to see the Bf-110. I've got one to do at some point.

Not a good fighter, but filled certain roles well as a bomber destroyer, particulaly for night operations.
