Airfix 1/72 Stuka ...Italian style......finally FINISHED!

Recommended Posts

Most probably it was caused by hot weather. It was very hot yest.

I agree with Paulo here, heat is suspect number one. Heat? Here is cold and rainy, I'm a little envious ... :weep::(

Time to move to Australia?

LOL, not exactly around the corner, is it? But you know that, since you're coming to Italy next spring.

Have you got good wine over there?:drink:

Ciao

Ciao

the best wine comes from Australia

Great wines come from great places made with great fruit by great people with bucket loads of passion.

So yes we've got some top wines here but I've also tasted top wines from all around the world!.

I've got a few tips and contacts Giemme and I'm spoiled living next door to the Barossa and McLaren Vale and the Coonawarra and Clare and Langhorne Creek and the Adelaide Hills!!!! so let me know what you like and I'd be happy to help....easy!

Bruce. .

SPLENDID work... Geez! Its really a COOL build !

:wow::heart:

Really appreciate the support....nearly there.....I have put four masks on the canopy!

Thanks guys....LOL!

I'm staring at 4 masks on a canopy and heaps to go!

Wont happen before XMAS BUT!!!! .....I did mention to the good wife that I want to do a bit in the break after Christmas....

and we all know if you commit and tell others what you are going to do........that's a great key to actually doing it!

So........I've started something now haven't I....??!! :analintruder::coolio:

Game on!

Righto!

Just because I couldn't bear it if I was still making this kit in 2015 I have pushed on utilising a bit of time off work for the Christmas break!

Awesome weather here in little old Adelaide by the way :coolio:

Well the only thing between me and the finish line is a few fiddly bits and yes......the dreaded canopy.

So with the kids out of my hair and playing happily with their Christmas gifts I knuckled down, grit my teeth and masked for like three plus hours!!!!

This is what I ended up with...and for three hours effort it's still pretty crappy!!

So thats it sprayed up.

Next step let it dry for a while....install the gun and aerial plus some little underfuselage doodads....get the canopy in place and then send this evil beast to the cabinet of glory.

I realise now that pretty much I cant see a damn thing so I suggest for the new year I will either get a new pair of glasses or a new hobby! :mental::yikes:

Cheers

Hope Christmas was good. My wife bought me a whole heap of different Coopers beers and drank them before I had a chance. It is raining here and only 22 deg - winter.

Canopies can be a right pain, I always put them off till last. Should do them first then the pain is over early.

Have a look at this:

I will try and post some progress pics tomorrow.

Crack the Champers and celebrate!

I managed to finish the Stuka before 2014 expired!

I have decided on my next project...it's the Academy P-47 Bubbletop "Eileen"...... because that has the EASIEST canopy in my stash!

Anyway thanks for looking or following.

I've really appreciated the help and encouragement along the way.

Here we go!...

It's superb!

These old Airfix kits are not easy to build and you've managed to finish it beautifully!

Well done!

Thanks Paulo.

I'm glad I finished her before 2015 arrived! :analintruder:
