I'm sorry to say there is no chance of me being able to complete anything for this GB :( The last few months of this year have been just too hectic with changing jobs, Telford etc. Damn shame as I was looking forward to building another 1:48 Lightning :(

Sorry to hear that but hopefully we'll see it in general RFI in due course as I'm sure it'll be a cracker.

There's an awful lot of activity in this GB. We're all desperately trying to get things finished for the weekend! :D

I've spent all day masking five sets of canopies.

Frantic isn't too strong a word here at Sleeper Central. If I haven't been working on mine I've been on BM checking out everybody's progress/tales of woe/entering the sunlit meadows of success.

I've just about sorted the vents, APU exhaust and am about to start on the second piece of coaming for the cockpit.

Chin up everybody. Pip pip!! :pilot: We can sleep after the Group Build....

No we can't! That's when the P-40 and Lesser Built AF GBs start! :frantic:

A slight flaw in an otherwise fine plan. I'm in the Lesser Built GB as well

I guess that the Lesser Built GB has restricted your output but good to see that you haven't let the standard slip for the P-40 GB.

Hmm, I thought it was five.

I can always slip a fifth one in if all goes well. :D

Into the final furlongs of the GB! My four are just on the cusp of completion. :yahoo:

Actually, it's five, if you count the Obsolete Kit style build which has been running in parallel.

Six if you count the stalled build which managed to get swept up in the groupbuild but isn't eligible for the gallery.

Instant collection or what?!?!

Edit the first post in your thread using the full editor.

Last day gang :( Still a few close to the finishing line so hopefully you all get a chance to spend the time you need at the workbench.

Thats me finished - firstly thanks to Mish, Col and Enzo for doing their bit that allows us to get together 'virtually' - I feel this has improved my skills as a 'come-back' modeler after a hiatus of 25 years in the Parachute Regiment - thanks again for the hosting and moderating.

The 72nd Sword T5 was a challenge - but I overcame its nuances and managed to get a nice little twin stick out of it. The 48th Airfix F6 was a more enjoyable build, down to the wire as I no longer get those 6 days off from when I was on shifts! I have to admit the EE Lightning is by far my favorite aircraft - evokes so many memories as a child and I also remember looking out of the back of a Herc at about 250ft, ramp down, during the Low Level phase, just before we popped up to 800ft to carry out an exercise parachute jump - to see an F6 which was part of our fighter escort - having fun up close - just wish I had my camera handy at the time - it was awesome.....

Great GB - may they keep coming!

I did nothing than facilitate the GB by setting up the software, the real hard work is the people taking part and the hard work of the hosts.

Great to see so many finishers, well done all.
