I have resisted purchasing any MFH kits until now but the price was right and the Yen is weak so I jumped in.....

It is true to say, you get what you pay for. I am still in awe of what is in the box. I'm really looking forward to building this in 2015.

Not sure if this counts but i had a rear wing for the fujimi bmw z4 race car turn up today, the only problem is I don't remember buying it. Maybe the kit will turn up at some point as another surprise if not it will come in handy for a future build

also over the weekend I had my order of big scale carbon turn up and following the above wing situation another set of decals for my ferrari f2002

i think December was a very inebriated month for me

Well, I've made a start on my Tamiya ZX-14. I can do a WIP if there's any interest? Going for the white scheme, just to be different...

Cheers,

Andrew

Nice one,

I've been working on one of these builds as well. I went for the Black/Red scheme.

I would be interested in seeing a build thread.

Here's mine : http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234972254-tamiya-112-kawasaki-ninja-zx-14-special-colour-edition-ready-for-decals/

Alright then, better take some pictures!

Rick, it was your build that made me buy the kit in the first place...

Cheers,

Andrew

Thanks Andrew,

I have thoroughly enjoyed it (all I have to do is the decals and attach the last foot controls). 1 thing I suggest is that you glue the components of the handlebars together before painting and leave the glue to set for a couple of days (there are plenty of other bits to work on).

Ok shameless plug, but have you seen my Tamiya Hayabusa build that I've been working on ?

Here's a link : http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234973509-tamiya-112-suzuki-gsx1300r-hayabusa-2nd-update-posted-1630-pm-11-01-2015/

This is another great kit, it has gone together so easily, in some ways easier than the ZX-14.

I'm doing the decals on both kits together so have the left the Kawasaki alone at the moment. I will be updating the Hayabusa build tomorrow when I start the bodywork painting process.

Cheers,

Rick

Nice buys Mike you got some bargains!!

I got the same Merc SL from TKMaxx on Saturday but paid £5, the dodge challenger ones had run out a few months ago so no bargains to be had on that.

These were the last 2 kits at the Beehive Centre in Cambridge, they were not in the toy section neither so i almost missed them. I found them on a clearance shelf, the boxes were opened so i checked them and the important parts, plastic and decals, were fine. The boxes are tatty and instructions were crumpled as if someone had checked kit previously and roughly put everything back but thats fine by me. I didn't have the kits in stash so it's 2 new kits to me for a bargain £6, can't grumble.

Mine was the same, open... i pulled everything out and it looked ok, I mainly need the engine which I will put into a viper I have with only half of it.. The tyres are free spares and the body is for testing purposes, wasnt bothered about building the kit, was just too cheap to walk away and leave it.

They had the London Taxi just after christmas but its supposed to be very poor indeed

Four wheels seem to dominate the two wheeled subjects so far - probably not surprisingly - so I thought I'd show these. The Heller Honda 950SS is the most recent acquisition from eBay.

The Tamiya CB750 Four is becoming like rocking horse poo these days apparently. Mine is started unfortunately but I can't see me finishing it so I'm still tempted to list it on eBay to see what offers I could get, or maybe take it to Huddersfield show - but that's just me being a greedy git really!

Hiya Al

Yes, the CB 750 Four is a difficult kit these days to get hold off...

However, the Norton is just about the Holy Grail of Euro Bikes and surprisingly, that Z1300 is actually quite a rare one too.

The Honda Bol 'd' Or are very collectable, but about to be re released again by Heller

Just a shout out to Hiroboy for excellent service - ordered my Fujimi Fiat 500 on Sunday evening, got the parcel delivered Tuesday morning.

Lets hope the delivery of the real one I'm getting in a couple of months time will be as quick (although mine will be an Abarth 595 Competitzione - can't afford the £53k for a full-on Biposto!)

Frankly, if you COULD afford £53K for a Biposto, then there are a LOT better ways to spend it...

Any number of fully-fettled MX-5s or a Delta Integrale in tip-top condition, for example...

Or a 308 GTB...

500s are at their best in TwinAir spec, IMHO... anything more aggressive than that is a triumph of style over substance...

Bestest,

M.
