1/72 Airfix Blenheim Mk 1 sprue problems?

Just got the new-tool Airfix Blenheim Mk1 and discovered that sprue D had been duplicated and sprue E was missing. I called my stockist, who after examining his remaining kits, discovered that some had duplicate E sprues and some were missing the D sprue! Airfix is sending the missing E sprue for my kit, but in view of this quality control issue, I wanted to make my fellow modellers aware of the possibility that their purchases might have either missing sprues or duplicated sprues.

Can't wait for the Mk IV, but will be checking the box contents!

I've had similar problems with the 72nd Spitfire F22 kit, with two of one fuselage sprue being included. Thankfully, the one with the u/c so it's a handy donor kit for an F21 cross kit using the PR19 fuselage.

Mine has two B sprues and no A sprue. Gives a very short fuselage! Just emailed Mr Airfix so hopefully will be sorted .

I had two dodgy canopies in my Airfix Tiffie but no other clear parts. Someone in their packing department in India needs to be fired. I notice that some model companies put in packing slips or stamps identifying who packed it. Perhaps someone at Airfix might care to suggest that might be a good idea.

Oh and I still haven't received the replacement parts two months later.

In my Blenheim I sprue with clear parts was missing.

I received missing sprue from Airfix.

Now when I see that many had problems with missing sprues in Airfix models I'm little afraid what is going to happen when I buy next modell from Airfix production.

I had dodgy instructions in my box, double printed and missing pages, got a new set within a week.
