Learstang
Very nice! You can certainly see the Yak-3/9 heritage, especially with the wings. Regards, Jason
KRK4m
Whereas Yak-11 wing is actually the same as Yak-3 and JET(!) Yak-15, the much bigger Yak-1/7/9 wing has nothing in common with them. Look at the flaps (parallel to the trailing edge in 3/11/15 and perpendicular to the fuselage in 1/7/9) and undercarriage bays. Also the main u/c legs are different - in Yak-7 and 9 they hold the wheel from outside and in Yak-1/3/11/15 - from the inside.

352nd Fighter Group
Hello guys I am building the 1/72 scale Yak-11 from Micro Mir and I want to do mine as an Air racer trying find the right prop & cowling 1/72 resin
Work In Progress
Well, that's going to depend entirely on which air racer you want to model, with which engine and prop. Could be almost anything.
Work In Progress
The R-2000 is just a big-bore R-1830 so you can use an 1830. Small Stuff used to do an 1830, not sure whether they have any left. If not, find one from something like a scrap C-47 or PBY kit (Not a Wright-engined DC-3, that's a wider single-row engine). You will probably want the prop off the C-47 or PBY too, to cut down and re-shape the tips. You'll be on your own for the custom cowl. The spinner looks like it probably came off a DC-6 so you're unlikely to find one of those just lying around. Just find any 3-blade spinner of the correct diameter, extend the nose with plastic rod, and add epoxy filler inside and out, and file it all to contour. 352nd Fighter Group
The thing I am trying to find is a resin Engine so the engine is molded in one
