AirfixAndy
I guess you just proved both of your points. And that some beholders have strange tastes indeed As in the case of the Kawasaki P1 me thinks. It might be a good aircraft but it sure is one ugly looking thing ! http://www.vpinternational.ca/Aircraft/P1/P1.htm Andy
tempestfan
I admit I was completely ignorant about that one. The first thought crossing my mind was "HotRod DC-8". I like it. Which again somewhat proves Jennings' point. And my own, unfortunately...
Blacktjet
The first thought crossing my mind was "HotRod DC-8". Reminds me of a small 4 engined jet prototype build by one of the U.S. companies in the 60s, can't remember what it was called but I think it was in competition with the Lockheed Jetstar. The P.1 is a lot bigger that it looks though - about the size of a Nimrod!

Andy Cleaned up that would make a good airliner! Seriously, why lease P-8's? Buy them for goodness sake. Didn't the MoD learn anything from the C-17 example? Aeronut
Didn't the MoD learn anything from the C-17 example? The MOD did, but leasing is the idea of the numpties in the Treasury.
