Here are some news from Pilot Replicas ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pilot-Replicas/390440134419981 & http://pilot-replicas.com/ ).
I'll believe it when I see it...
Anyway a 1/48th Saab J-21R - jet variant - would be of my interest.
About the loooonnng announced Saab Sk.60/105 see here: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234928441-148-saab-sk60a-by-pilot-replicas-box-art-cad-pic/?hl=replicas

Pilot Replicas can best be contacted in Facebook, I had a reply in Facebook, from Claes Wahlund regarding their long awaited 1/48 SAAB 105/SK-60 kits.

- He says they are working hard on a 1/48 SAAB J-21.
- To be patient regarding the 1/48 SAAB 105/SK-60, it will be available soon.
- I also see they are working on a 1/48 Volvo 959A Tow Truck!

I have seen test-shots of the J21 so that project is moving forward.

A Saab J-21 or/and a J-21R?

And what about the Saab Sk.60/105?

so far I´ve just seen testshots of the J21, but as far as I know the J21R are in the plans as well.

the prototyping for the SAAB 105 looks amazing! but so far I´ve only seen testprints and no actual plastic.

Their Pilots in 1/72-1/48 and 1/32 looks superb! so everything looks very promising

Those CAD images certainly look the part. Quite tempted by this one already.

Yea, sure looks tempting to buy at least 3-4

Bear in mind that these CAD pictures are quite old (acc. to pic names from nov 2013) and has supposedly been perfected quite a bit since then.

Love to see some more up to date progress.

Details look very nice, even though the treadmarks on the tires look a little overdone. They were quite tractor-like on the original, but not that pronounced.

Even so, it looks like it's getting closer to production!

Yay!

It's downright sensational, I think, that a mediocre though rather special looking fighter that didn't serve anywhere but in Sweden is the subject of a state of the art 1:48th commercial kit.

I will buy several, of course, and hopefully Maestro Models will help out with cockpit goodies and perhaps even a complete engine update. I guess that those tractor mainwheels are going to appear in refined resin, too. If not, a couple of swipes with wet'n'dry will probably do the trick.

Thank you, Pilot Replicas, for your adventurous spirit! I hope the SK 60 will appear soon, too.

Kind regards,

Joachim

This is a test build of Pilot Replicas forthcoming injection molded model in 1/48 scale. Saab J21A It has very fine detail and delicate panel lines. Decals come from RBD Studio and printed by Cartograf. With luck, it will be released this autum. You can see news on their Facebook group.

If anyone thinks that we are sitting on a paradise island with an umbrella drink so then you are mistaken. We are working feverishly to produce interesting accessories for our very nice J21 kit that comes soon. What do you think of this appetizers ?
