Hiya Chaps

Welcome to our very own little front room,

No yappin on here about wingy things, floating things, foody things and other such inane non-important rubbish.

Here, you can wander around in your Y-fronts, eat beans from the tin, have the odd chemical warfare blast and not have to blame the dog and most importantly, waffle on about car models and stuff and actually get some stuff built...

For openers

Round 2 is re releasing....

Sounds good to me.......

Somewhere with car-kit-nattery stuff.......

As for my 'two-'pennorth', WHEN are Airfix going to release some new cars ????!!!!

I'll be following.

but Roy, they did... we have just had a 'Brand New' VW Beetle....(sarcasm sign).

I managed the other day, after much wrangling to get my hands on an Airfix Beach Buggy and a Toyota 2000GT.

Just the smell from those boxes....

I think Airfix need to re release the whole bloody lot of cars again, really would like a Marina (never thought id say that out loud) :)

Steve! Wash your mouth out!

Have you seen the prices for that Buggy on the bay?

Madness. But I'd like both of those again.

Much as I'd like to go back to car kits,

I'm having too much fun with sci fi.

And time (& eyesight) is getting short.

Those 1/24 ICM kits look like serious attempts at detail and accuracy. I just find the subjects too obscure for my taste. War era stuff (especially German not my cup-however they just did a 1913 'T'. Love to see a line of '30's classics like Duesy's, Lincoln's, RR's, Cad's with their scale fidelity....

I still thing the British Cars top the list...

There are some out there, there are some nice resin 1/24ths from Finland, but expensive, things like Heralds etc, but hell man, what the hell do we have to do to get the

chaps with the plastic melty machines to actually listen.

Good example, Revell AG. Look at what they are doing with there internet survey. You post a piccie and get people to vote. Get enough votes and it goes forward for consideration, and apparently there is some amazing stuff in the pipline.

Its great that I can build any type of ferrari, lambo and porsche i want, just about any muscle car and most classic cars... but I want a VW type 2 Bus, a Ford Cortina, A VW Type 3 and above anything else, a Ford Escort Van... (yes, and a Marina :))

What I would really like is a good Mk2 Escort in 1/24 . Both roadgoing and rally versions would be nice . The old Esci kits are getting rather long in the tooth and were , in truth , pretty crap when they were new .

Hi Rick

Check on Hobbyeasy, some nice affordable fujimi GT's on there.

Also found this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121439349998?var=420381036959&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&fromMakeTrack=true

Local to me as well.

BTW, does anyone know the quality of the Arii MKII listed on the link? Looks to be the same as the Fujimi kit from the pictures.

Rick.

If we're asking? ................ I've always felt that the "Morris Minor" was a no brainer - loved and cherished globally, there's the option of the "Traveller and Pick-up and Van" to bulk out the build list and make for a very profitable return on ones investment!!

Just a thought.

Has there been a model kit in plastic of the Volvo 1800S (the saint car), I can't think of one although there is a large scale di-cast one

Yes, Palmer or some similar old maker, which means it,s more of a crude nostalgia box than a good model.

There's a resin one from Finland, needs quite a lot of work, and some cutting and correcting if you're sensitive about correct proportions, but a good model can be made.

I would love to see a 1/12 NSX 2005 Takata Dome version (preferably with more detail than the 1/24) and a Lexus LFA of the same size.

ooooh ooooh and a 1/12 Ferrari F40 :)

Name your price Tamiya (or anyone else for that matter)
