Radleigh
Well, I originally went to see the two Lancasters but the B727 was top draw, so much so I had to edit these before the Lanc photos.. It did a number of passes etc... which was a superb sight to see! Ravens
Nice; I've always got a soft spot for the 727s. Does anybody know what the structure suspended beneath the engines on the underside is for? Regards, Ross.
Bonehammer
The chemtrail truthers are gonna have a field day with this one... beautiful livery and beautiful pictures. The weather mustn't have been the best ever for cameras... Nice; I've always got a soft spot for the 727s. Does anybody know what the structure suspended beneath the engines on the underside is for? Cheers, I'd never thought about airliners being adapted to perform these kind of duties - always good when they get a second life. Also, I'm glad that I had to google what a "chemtrail truther" is! oggy4624
That's the one show I really would have liked to have gone to. We still get the odd vip 727, and trump's as well , but dont see as many as I used to. We had our last C check, VP-BNE , about 4 years ago - she was scrapped after an insane amount of money was spent on the check and we then hit pure aluminium oxide! Bye bye. I can remember clearly rows of Iberia, Lufthansa , Air Algerie, air france ,Lybian and Pan Am 72's at Heathrow - now nothing!. At least I saw the connie in july. Rick Brown
Fantastic pictures as per usual Radleigh. I was looking forward to the 727 display and it certainly didn't disappoint. Even the wife and kids liked it and rated alongside the Red Arrows! Pk, top spot went to the Lancs... Rick.

F-32
I went on the Saturday to see '558, was disappointed I couldn't see the 727 display, looks tasty!
Hutch
We were heading back to the car (had to park away from the site and watch it from the other side of the airfield) when this one was performing and from where we were it looked amazing..... Rather impressed with the steep climb heading over the M11. Hutch
