Roland Pulfrew
Not sure Chris. I've got till midnight but I think I might miss the deadline. Hope to have her finished tomorrow if not tonight. Really don't want to rush the finish as I did this as a bit if a tribute to favourite English teacher of mine. Roland Pulfrew
Oh well. 15 minutes till the deadline and PH-G is almost done- but not quite
Roland Pulfrew
Oh well, almost made it. Would have been finished tonight but I've realised I haveno Matt varnish so cannot do the final coat and then remove the paint masks. Maybe tomorrow if I can find anywhere in Bucks that sells matt varnish! Still just to show that PH-G of 12 Squadron RAF Wickenby and piloted by Daniel O'Reilly Dickey is pretty much complete
Fritag
Impressive. Looking forward to the canopy unmasking/matt coat. The false look fab. I really like the wash/drybrushing (?) that brought tout the detail.
Roland Pulfrew
Right, finally got my hands on some matt varnish so RF181 is finally finished (only 48 hrs late ). Unfortunately I have discovered a bit of glue run previously hidden by the paint masks . Here are the final pictures: I've really enjoyed this GB so thanks to the hosts for organising and running it. Lesson for me - watch out for holiday periods and don't underestimate the loss of planned modelling time!! Time to move on to the LBAFGB which will be my mission for the next few months.
