sean Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) I would like to join in with the Academy Sabre kit, using the Colombian markings options on the Microscale sheet for Canadair Mk6 Sabres. And the sprues: Regards, Sean Edited September 20, 2014 by sean 1
Mozzy19 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I don't think I've seen a Columbian Sabre built before. I'm looking forward to seeing it progress. Sean 1
sean Posted September 20, 2014 Author Posted September 20, 2014 Cheers Mozzy. Started: The cockpit was put together fairly quickly and the fuselage joined together. And I've also started the Airfix Sabre, as the colours are the same, plus I bought a Modeldecal sheet for a Magister build, and it also has options on it to fit an R.A.F Sabre: One thing I noticed was the difference in size between the two kits. The Academy Sabre is a slightly bigger, especially in the depth of the fuselage. So, someone has got it wrong?? Regards, Sean 1
sean Posted September 29, 2014 Author Posted September 29, 2014 And a little bit more, not much, but a little bit: Regards Sean
TEMPESTMK5 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Good morning Sean Yes they are both looking good 1
sean Posted October 29, 2014 Author Posted October 29, 2014 (edited) An update: I've recently had a slight case of mojolostitis, and couldn't really get enthused at all about doing any modelling. But these things pass, and I started a different build to these last week and that sort of kickstarted things back up,(although my Magister still languishes to the side on the modelling table). I basically just done an hour here and there and this is where I'm at:: The Airfix RAF Sabre, pretty much all the paint done, just another coat on the undersides, The Academy Colombian Sabre, halfway through paint, with the underside not touched at all.
