alex
Good afternoon, yesterday, I visited the Air14 in Payerne, it's the "national Airshow" which takes place every 10 years. It was well organised (still too much to walk, for my taste...), and the displays were worth the effort. Here are some pics from the flight display, next week I will hopefully have the time to post the static display as well. My camera lens was at the limit, so please excuse the quality which is not spotter-like. Still good enough for me. And thanks to Jinxman for the very good tips! I will keep the comments to the minimum, feel free to ask if you need more infos! Al-Fursan, the display team from the UAE. Same aircraft as the Italian, and some figures as well... nice scheme, though! Swiss target tugs A Swiss A330, together with the Patrouille Suisse, which had its 50th anniversary A part of the Patrouille Suisse display The A380 was very impressing. Almost empty, it flew a rather impressing show with some tight turns. I almost needed a wide-angle! No, I didn't tilt the camera. It was a really tight turn. The Royal Air Force Falcons. Who says elegance in the air must be noisy? Since it was a commemoration of 100 years of the Swiss military aviation, there were some old aircrafts... Very old aircrafts... And very very old aircrafts! Military airlift history (Alouette II, Alouette III, Super Puma, EC-635 and Turbo Porter) Old Swiss aircrafts (mostly) And new swiss aircrafts. Even colour coded. The red one is the newest! Airshow rule number one. You need flares. A lot of them! Oldies in the final The Red Arrows. Like all British people, taxying on the wrong side! The "python" The grande armee national de l'air display check list: At departure: max afterburner. Short before landing: afterburner off. Don't touch the power lever unnecessarily, as if it could break off. Really impressive. By the way, have you ever seen an aircraft landing out of a looping? Amazing... Dutch F-16. Did I mentionned the flares already? The PC-7 team, which has its 25th anniversary. Swiss Hornet The Old papyrus Hunter Royal Jordanian Falcons And the well-known frecce tricolori. Once more, a fantastic performance! And coming in for landing! Thank you for watching! Alex
alex
Since my ladies are watching a film, I have more time than expected: here comes part II, the static. An Italian KC-767. It could have been visited inside, but the queue was too long for my taste. sorry, could not resist! German CH-53 A Morane And a replica Me-262 A detail of the PC-21-cockpit Swiss Hornet Rapier, still our medium range air defense French Mirage 2000, from the "Alsace"-Wing Two F-15D from Lakenheath Liberty State, along with the six-barrel liberty provider... Slovakian MiG-29 Austrian EF-2000. And a Gripen-looking-like toy! by the way, for those who want to see parts of the show, the swiss national television was there, you can watch some displays in a surprisingly good quality! http://www.rts.ch/emissions/dossiers/2014/air14/ Alex

HOUSTON
Alex...... Those are EXTRAORDINARY PHOTOS .... AMAZINGArray of aircrafts. ...old and new. ... BRILLIANT... Is the reason for the show to take every ten years money or the venue....? Ten years is a long wait if you cannot afford to go to shows elsewhere. Thank you for sharing your JOY and the efforts to post them... they are STUNNING
