Learstang
Beautiful! Don't you just love it when you pull the masking off and your model really comes together! Regards, Jason
old thumper
It looks very good. I sort of remember the engine cowlings being a bit of a pain myself, from memory I think they were a poor fit which was made more difficult by their being made of thin plastic which didn't want to meet together. old thumper
Aren't the turrets in this kit so much better to build than the ones in the old Airfix kits!
theplasticsurgeon
Today I installed the cockpit, nose dome and flight engineer. Cockpit, with flight engineer installed. Top Turret: I've got a 4000lb cookie from a previous Lancaster, so what else would be carried with this bomb? Would that be mixed with incendiaries? Potato Pete
Excellent build Tim, I've enjoyed watching it come together. I'm more of Merlin engined Lanc fan but I'm feeling tempted........
Learstang
Go for it, Potato Pete! All my other Lancs are Merlin-engined, but I had to buy this one just for some variety. As you can see, it's a nice kit that builds up into a great-looking model. Regarding which, well-done indeed, Tim! Regards, Jason
